Dr. Russ Alterman was born in 1964 in Hollywood, California. Raised in Orange County, he graduated from Esperanza High School. He received his Bachelor of Sciences in Biology from the University of Southern California, and was an active member in the Mu Theta chapter of the national Sigma Alpha Mu fraternity. Following graduation, Dr. Alterman received his degree in medicine from Western University of Health Sciences. He returned to the University of Southern California Medical Center for credentialing in Internal Medicine.
Since 1998, Dr. Alterman has predominantly worked in the field of hospital medicine with an emphasis in the care of critically ill patients. During and since his departure from hospital medicine, Dr. Alterman has enjoyed applying his craft to benefit the immediate and urgent medical needs of those in his community.
